# Create a sponsor

> Adds a sponsor to the event. Images are not part of this call — create the sponsor first, then upload its logo or cover image through /v1/events/{eventId}/sponsors/{sponsorId}/image.

Required API key scopes: `WRITE`

**This API can only be called with an access key that was generated for Backend usage.**
